Oh how I struggle! This week it was Wednesday on the way back from Greenock and Thursday, sat at home. The OH has an idea of why, tiredness. When I am away from home I find it very difficult to sleep, so I have an early morning (Sunday) and 2 sleep deprived nights on my own. By Wednesday I am too tired to resist. I am still catching up by Thursday and still weak to temptation. Temptation on Thursday came in the form of a Lees Macaroon Bar (brought home from Scotland last week), 3 Tunnocks plain chocolate wafer bars, and 2 bags of crisps. It could have been worse!
Today I have save 23 checks from my allowance of 65 and am planning to save 30 and 20 respectively over the weekend to come in at 1 check over for the week.
It reminds me of an old Slimming Magazine Club diet I did when I joined the Victoria (London) lunchtime club in 1979 - The Feast and Fast Diet. I loved it, you could eat more on some days and were strict on others. Most times I was strict during the week and relaxed at the weekends, except when it was my time of the month (TOTM) and then I went with my eating desires. I lost loads very quickly on the Feast and Fast diet. If only I had gone back after my holiday to Europe (hitch-hiking with boyfriend, later to be my husband) around Holland and Germany. I gained a stone in 2 weeks and was so mortified I never went back - a very big mistake!
Oh well, maybe the OH is right, it is tiredness. At least I am starting to react like a normally slim person, I am compensating for overeating by cutting back later. In the past I would have given up and just eaten everything in sight for days and weeks until I had gained all the weight I had lost and more.
