Hong Kong Experience

We spent 4 days in Hong Kong in December on the way to Australia and New Zealand. It was a long held wish of mine to visit Hong Kong, and it did not dissapoint.

We stayed at the Metropark, Kowloon, and my o/h's favourite was the absolutely fantastic breakfast buffet (thrown in for free).

Our favourite things:

Hong Kong Tour - we saw Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Harbour, Jumbo's Floating Restaraunt, and Stanley Market

Tram to Victoria Peak

Dim Sum - lots of small, tasty and unusual dishes

The Promenade - wonderful views over the harbour and the Walk of Start as well as the sound and light show in the evening

Star Ferries - an institution

Harbour Night Cruise - tacky but fun

Lamma Island - famous for fish, also a large expat community

Temple Street Night Market - East meets West!!!

Nathan Road, Peking Duck

Heritage Museum - great at any time to give you an insight into the being of Hong Kong
