I have not been perfect this week, but I have been better than I feared at the beginning of the week. I always come back from France feeling low and wishing I could still be there. The low feelings make me reach for chocolate and crisps. I have succumbed to chocolate on 2 occasions this week but have managed to climb back on the Scottish Slimmers Personal Eating Plan (PEP) again.
To help counteract too many checks early in the week I have been making loads of use of the no-check/low-check recipes with huge success.
Hubby and younger daughter love the no-check soups I make and the younger daughter always takes a portion home with her for a lunch the next day! The curried butternut squash goes down well, but the favourite new one this week was the red onion and tomato soup. See my favourite recipe blog.
As ever, weight comes off slower than it goes on, but I am still able to post a weight loss of 5 lbs this week. Next week I will be back on the really losing trail instead of the yo-yo dieting.
As ever, a busy week with hubby at an interview tomorrow near Hull and up to Scotland on Tuesday night for the rest of the week! I do find being away from home has been easier to cope with than I thought and I have less access to tempting food (chocolate and crisps for me). Because I am away concentrating on work I think about food less. Marks & Spencer's count on us range is my saviour when I am away from home, both for lunch, snacks and my main meal - together with the microwave available at the hotel.
Look for a good weight loss next week.
